Sep 20, 2023 · Durres. Durres is a port town, around 45 minutes from Tirana. It may not have the best beaches in Albania but it is definitely one of the best beach towns. It has a large sweeping beach, plus plenty of other activities in town. You can visit an amphitheatre and see the huge Mosque in the centre of town.

Mar 8, 2021 · The visit was worth the trip. We both enjoy good food and wines and visiting this winery on a rainy (but far from miserable!) day in Durres, was a great call. From the start, our host, Helena, was super supportive. She explained our cab driver how to reach the winery from Durres. It is not a long drive, but it is outside Durres in the hills.
As for the Pogradec - well, its nice, but let me be honest with you - Macedonian Ohrid town is much better. But it doesnt mean that Pogradec is not worth visiting. Especially if you combine it with near Korca, which is nice town. Durres is just a big city (as for Albania), so good only if you want to do some shopping / have some business to do
